Argo Premium Chop (12.5kg Bulk Bag)

Provide your horses, ponies, or smallholding livestock with a traditional, high-quality fibre foundation with Argo Premium Chop (12.5kg Bag), available locally at Feed & Fleece—your leading specialist for equestrian feed, smallholding supplies, and premium bedding in Cleckheaton.

Argo Premium Chop is a classic, dust-screened oat straw chaff lightly dressed to enhance palatability and reduce dust. This clean, high-fibre forage is designed to add vital bulk to your animal's daily bucket ration, extending feeding times and promoting a healthy, natural digestive system.

Why Choose Argo Premium Chop?

Adding a quality chaff to your animal's feed is essential for digestive health. Argo Chop offers a clean, dependable, and highly economical way to bring structural fibre into the feed room.

• Promotes Healthy Digestion: High in beneficial, digestible fibre that keeps the gut moving smoothly. Mixing this chop into a daily hard feed forces your horse to chew longer, stimulating saliva production, which acts as a natural buffer against stomach acid.

• Prevents Fast Eating (Bolting): The short-chopped straw structure physicalizes the feed bucket, preventing horses and ponies from bolting their concentrates and reducing the risk of choke or digestive discomfort.

• Low-Calorie Fibre Source: Provides clean bulk without the high energy or calorie counts associated with richer alfalfa blends or grain mixes, making it the perfect daily base for good doers and native breeds.

• Ideal Supplement Carrier: Creates a consistent, high-surface-area base that easily holds onto daily vitamins, mineral powders, or joint supplements, ensuring your horse cleans their bucket without leaving expensive powders at the bottom.

• Versatile Yard Essential: While primarily a staple for horses and ponies, this clean, dust-screened straw chop is also popular for adding structural fibre to the rations of goats, sheep, and other smallholding livestock.
