Chick Flint Grit 5kg Handy Pack Argo

Argo Chick Flint Grit (5kg Handy Pack)

Ensure your young birds grow strong and digest their feed efficiently with Argo Chick Flint Grit (5kg Handy Pack), available at Feed & Fleece—your trusted local supplier for smallholding animal feed and bedding in Cleckheaton.

Because chickens do not have teeth, they rely on insoluble flint grit to grind down their food. This specially sized mini flint grit is essential for chicks and growing poultry, keeping their digestive systems working perfectly from their very first weeks.

Why Choose Argo Chick Flint Grit?

Young chicks have delicate digestive systems that require fine, hard grit to properly break down starter crumbs, grower pellets, and scattered grains.

• Essential for Efficient Digestion: This insoluble grit acts as natural "teeth" in the gizzard, grinding down tough feed, seeds, and forage so your chicks can absorb maximum nutrition.

• Sized Specially for Chicks: Unlike standard adult grit, which is too large for adolescent beaks, this fine flint grit is specifically graded for small chicks and growing poultry.

• Prevents Sour Crop & Blockages: Providing adequate grit prevents feed from compacting in the crop, reducing the risk of painful and dangerous digestive blockages.

• Convenient 5kg Handy Pack: The perfect lightweight, easy-to-store size for backyard poultry keepers, school projects, or smallholders with a compact brooder.
