Hilight Horse & Pony Mix 20kg – Appetising, Non-Heating Coarse Ration

Treat your horse or pony to a delicious, textured feed with Hilight Horse & Pony Mix (20kg), stocked locally at Feed & Fleece—your independent animal feed and bedding specialist in Cleckheaton.

This highly palatable, molassed coarse mix is a staple feed room favorite across West Yorkshire. Specifically designed as a non-heating ration, it combines real nutritional value with exceptional taste, making it the perfect everyday option for horses and ponies in light work, those at rest, or companions requiring a calm, sensible temperament.

Key Benefits of Hilight Horse & Pony Mix

For horses that find standard pellets boring, a coarse mix offers an appealing variety of textures. Hilight Mix delivers this sensory variety without causing the unwanted "fizz" or hyperactive behavior associated with higher-energy feeds.

• Exceptional Palatability: Lightly coated in sweet molasses with real micronised grains to encourage steady, enthusiastic feeding—ideal for fussy eaters or older horses with poor appetites.

• Non-Heating & Low Energy: Provides slow-release energy from highly digestible fiber sources, helping to keep your horse calm, level-headed, and easy to manage.

• Encourages Natural Chewing: The varied texture of flaked cereals, pellets, and fiber encourages proper chewing, supporting healthy saliva production and digestive comfort.

• Fully Balanced Nutrients: Packed with essential vitamins and trace minerals to support coat shine, strong hooves, and overall vitality.

• Excellent Value 20kg Bag: Premium-grade equine nutrition at an affordable price, making it a budget-friendly option for leisure riders and multi-horse yards.

Feeding & Management Tip: This complementary mix should be fed alongside clean water and plenty of high-quality forage. When transitioning your horse from pellets to this coarse mix, do so gradually over a week to prevent digestive upset.
